Why Ink Choice Matters in Textile Printing

Ink encompasses more than just color; it plays a vital role in the print’s visual appeal, longevity, fabric texture, and the substrates it can be applied to. Choosing the wrong printer inks can result in prints that fade too soon, feel rigid, or do not adhere effectively to certain textiles.

Features of our DTG Ink

• Fabric Absorption: As a water-based solution, DTG ink seeps into the fibers instead of resting on the surface. This results in a soft, breathable texture that feels like it belongs to the garment.
• Full-Color Precision: By employing CMYK + White, DTG printers can manage high-resolution images and gradients. For dark fabrics, a white underbase is printed first to ensure that colors stay vibrant and sharp.
• Natural Fiber Focus: Specifically optimized for 100% cotton or high-cotton blends, natural fibers are porous, which allows for superior ink retention compared to synthetic materials.
• Pre-treatment Requirement: Dark garments necessitate a pre-treatment solution to aid the white ink in adhering, preventing any color bleeding into the fabric.

Printing Process Guide

• For Light Garments:

  1. Direct print to textile.

  2. Heat press ($160°C – 170°C for 60–90 seconds).

  3. Finished.

• For Dark Garments:

  1. Apply Pre-treatment solution.

  2. Direct print white underbase + color.

  3. Heat press ($160°C – 170°C for 90–120 seconds).

  4. Finished.
