How does DTF printing work?
Step-1: Design Pattern (Artwork Preparation)
The workflow begins with digital design creation.
Step 2: Print the Pattern
The design is printed onto specialized DTF PET film using a DTF printer loaded with DTF pigment inks. Immediately after printing, DTF adhesive powder (hot-melt powder) is applied to the wet ink and then cured (melted) in a curing oven or heat press to create a ready-to-transfer sheet.
Step 3: Hot Press Molding (Application)
The cured DTF transfer is placed onto the garment (substrate). A commercial heat press is used to apply precise heat, pressure, and time.
Step 4: Finishing (Cold Peel)
The process concludes with the finishing touch: the cold peel.
The transfer works on ANY fabric: 100% cotton, polyester, nylon, canvas, and all blends. Even a small, best DTF printer for beginners produces vibrant, full-color prints with excellent detail and color saturation.
