Product Features

The 620 Pro UV Printer is a specialized roll-to-roll UV DTF (Direct-to-Film) system designed for high-speed, high-precision custom labeling and decoration on a wide variety of hard surfaces.

It is often branded as a “Crystal Label Printer” due to the durable, sticker-like quality of the final transfer.

How Does UV Printing Work?

Piezoelectric Print Head

This is the part that sprays the ink. It moves precisely over the surface and shoots out tiny droplets of ink.

Unlike regular inkjet heads, it is designed to handle thicker, pigment-rich UV inks. The print head controls how much ink is placed and where, allowing for sharp, detailed images.

UV Lamp

The UV lamp emits ultraviolet light that cures the ink. Most UV printers use LED lamps because they are energy-efficient and last a long time.

UV Ink

UV ink is made to react to ultraviolet light. It usually comes in CMYK colors, which are cyan, magenta, yellow, and black. CMYK is the standard for printing.

This UV printer significantly streamlines production by printing directly onto specialized UV film (AB crystal film). This innovative process allows the printed film to be transferred directly onto substrates without any extra adhesive or laminating step.

Here is how it all comes together on the surface:

  • The print head sprays UV ink droplets with precision.
  • The UV lamp shines ultraviolet light to cure the ink immediately.
  • Because the ink cures instantly, the print is bright, sharp, and long-lasting.

Comparison Between 3D UV and Traditional Embroidery

Comparison Item 3D UV Traditional Embroidery
Production Method Direct Printing with a UV Printer Stitching with an embroidery  machine
Operational Difficulty One – Click printing, easy to learn Complex embroidery programming required
Production Efficiency Direct Printing, fast completion Requires thread changes and machine adjustments, longer production cycle
Detail & color performance Realistic 3D texture, rich colors, smooth color gradients Strong color layering effect
Cost Low investment cost, no additional materials needed Requires thread, labor, and high investment threshold

Applications

Hard Goods: Plastic, glass, metal (eg, tumblers, aluminum bottles), wood, ceramics (eg, mugs, tiles).

Promotional Items: Pen sets, USB drives, keychains, lighters, phone cases, and trophies.

Packaging & Luxury Goods: High-end gift packaging, cosmetic containers, and industrial/display signage.

FAQs:

1) Are UV DTF stickers permanent?
Absolutely, UV DTF (Ultraviolet Direct-to-Film) stickers are known for their exceptional permanence. They are specifically engineered to create a solid, enduring bond with hard, smooth surfaces upon immediate contact.
2) What is the difference between DTF and UV DTF?

The main difference between standard DTF and UV DTF comes down to what surfaces they print on and how they are applied. While both allow you to create high-quality, custom transfers, they use entirely different inks and processes:·

  • Standard DTF (Direct-to-Film): Designed for fabrics and textiles (like t-shirts, hoodies, and canvas bags). It uses water-based textile inks printed onto a film, which is then coated with an adhesive powder and melted using heat. You use a heat press to transfer the final design onto the fabric.
  • UV DTF (Ultraviolet Direct-to-Film): Designed for hard, rigid surfaces (like mugs, phone cases, glass, and metal). It uses UV-curable inks printed onto a special “A” film, which is instantly dried by an ultraviolet light built into the printer. A “B” adhesive film is then laminated over it. You simply peel and stick these transfers onto hard objects by hand—no heat required.
3) Does UV DTF need heat?
No, UV DTF is heat-free. Unlike standard DTF (Direct to Film) or sublimation techniques, UV DTF utilizes pressure and a specific self-adhesive film to secure designs to surfaces without the need for heat.
4) Are UV DTF stickers scratch proof?
UV printing delivers durable, water-resistant prints that easily handle daily wear and tear. While not 100% scratch-proof, they offer excellent scratch resistance, making them ideal for packaging, promotional items, and home décor.
5) Can you put UV DTF on clothes?
UV DTF prints cure rigid. Because fabric stretches, folds, and moves, the uv ink will crack and peel almost immediately. If you want to customize clothes, you should use traditional DTF (Direct to Film) transfers.
